October is National Seafood Month. But in Maryland every month is Seafood Month. So when I ended up with some big cans of crab, I knew exactly where to go to find a recipe:
This volume, by the Office of Seafood Marketing, features “Contemporary” recipes. Perusing the book it seems that the 1982 definition of “contemporary” is calorie-conscious and microwavable.
You may recall this gem of a dish, which has been featured on the DiS1972 social media channels:
It is both low-cal and nuked. It’s also squid skewered with green pepper and pineapple and then dusted with grated Parmesan.
Here is the crab recipe I selected (note all the diet-friendly ingredients):

Oh, you tease! It looks really good. I’m guessing that “seafood seasoning” really means Old Bay, because that’s the ONLY seafood seasoning. ; )
