Feud: Bette & Joan

To coincide with the 2017 series, Feud: Bette & Joan, I made some Feud-inspired dishes—some pretty standard (see Bette’s Red Flannel Hash) and some outright insane (see Joan’s French Banana Salad).
But all are fabulous because they are recipes directly from some of the biggest stars in the movie studio era!

JOAN CRAWFORD’S DANTI-CHIPS

To coincide with the premiere of Feud: Bette & Joan, I reposted this dish from 2014.

Welcome to the Joan Crawford Virtual Reality Dinner Party! Jenny, the proprietress of Silver Screen Suppers, hosted the dinner party in celebration of the release of her book, aptly titled, Cooking With Joan Crawford.  So, what’s the deal with the dinner party? JOAN CRAWFORD’S FRENCH BANANA SALAD (1928)

Last week everyone went completely bonkers for both the premiere of Feud: Bette & Joan and for Joan Crawford’s Danti-Chips, so I decided to make a dish for episode 2! JOAN CRAWFORD’S SPINACH SALAD

Hi, kittens! Welcome to DiS1972! Since it’s Sunday, and tonight I’ll be watching Feud: Bette & Joan on FX, I’m serving up another one of Joan Crawford’s recipes. This one comes from an article in the November 1, 1965 issue of Vogue. Continue reading Joan Crawford’s Spinach Salad

JOAN CRAWFORD’S PORK CHOPS WITH RED ONIONS AND APPLE RINGS

Finally (and sadly) we come to the end of Feud the television mini-series and my series of Feud-themed food posts. I’ve saved the best for last, because this was indeed the best of the bunch. This is Joan Crawford’s Pork Chops with Red Onions and Apple Rings, which appeared in the  November 1, 1965 Vogue Continue reading Joan Crawford’s Pork Chops with Red Onions and Apple Rings
