171. Rosy Glazed Pork Chops

Card 171 is noteworthy because it is the last Dinner is Served 1972 dinner prepared in my house.

Yeah, if I hadn’t mentioned it already, I MOVED! Back in April I relocated Dinner Is Served HQ from my little early 1910-ish Baltimore row home and moved into a high-rise condo that was built in the late 1970s.

But before I get into that, here is Rosy Pork Chops:

This was so long ago that I can’t even tell you how it was, but I got to use my Veg-O-Matic for the parsleyed potato sticks, which made me very happy. And I made strawberry fluff. So, that was all a win. It was also the first dinner I cooked for Mr. Sauce, Esq.

Now back to the condo! It was move-in ready, but I got rid of some bad wallpaper and did a bit of kitchen renovation.

Click through to see before and afters.

One of the reasons I picked this condo is because there was a built-in just waiting to hold my cookbooks (and my autographed photo of Tom Selleck).

And there was room for me to buy this super-sweet bar:

I love my new place. I really do.

Goodbye old house!!!

You are not missed. At all.

  1. I have never been so jealous of a piece of furniture in my life. Your little jutting out breakfast bar thing where you can sit, all on your ownsome and eat your din dins. GAD. I have to move my kitchen bin every time I want to eat my dinner. Want to do a flat-swap sometime?!

Your new place looks fabulous. Jx

    1. Yeah, it can also be used as a room divider, which is pretty cool. I’m happy to have so much more storage.

    1. It wasn’t out-going. It just calls the front desk. I assume that it could be used as a landline. I have it in my closet. If you have a use for it. It’s yours!

  2. Oh my God!! That bar is soooo super sweet!! I know you did not get rid of that phone in the kitchen. My heart breaks. I love it, it is so you. I hope the Boitanos will be happy here.

    1. It’s a house phone. I had it taken out so I could put it in the breakfast bar. I do still have the original phone–it’s in a closet.

  3. Congratulations on your new home! I love your furniture and how you arranged the rooms. I hope you’ll have many happy years there.
