Welcome to 2023!

I am sure that I’ll still be writing 2022 well into February.

I had a lovely holiday break and I hope that you had some time off, too. As one typically does, I made a new year’s resolution. Mine is to post once a week on the blog. It may be the only way I can motivate myself to cook through the rest of the cards.

Here’s 157. Turkey Chops.

I did not take any notes on the preparation of the dish, so it must have been without incident.

But it’s beige. So very beige.

And dry. Don’t you just feel the dryness?

I can see why they included a candle in the original photo–just bring a little visual variety.

I will not be making this again.

Also, peach halves as a dessert is bullshit.

  • If you soak the peach halves in brandy and add a little chantilly cream or ice cream -- nah, still bullshit. ; ) You're absolutely spot on; this is a very beige dinner. Needs some sort of nifty sauce and maybe it would be salvageable. Love that you didn't even bother with the garnishes.
