Florence Henderson’s “Wessonality” Chef Salad (1980)

If you follow me on social media, I know you that you know that Dinner is Served 1972 is going to appear this week on Food Network’s Chopped.

But if you don’t follow me on social media–guess what? Dinner is Served 1972 is appearing on Chopped!

The episode is called A Very Brady Chopped. So you can guess what that means:

I met the Brady Kids…and you didn’t.

In honor of my upcoming national television appearance with some of The Bunch, I made a salad from one of Florence Henderson’s (I don’t need to tell you that Florence Henderson is Carol Brady, do I?) many Wesson advertisements:

Apparently one of Wesson’s big selling points is that it tastes like nothing.

Which it does. It tastes like nothing. Absolutely nothing.

It is impressive just how much it tastes like nothing…but it’s got a shit ton of Wessonality!

Here’s the salad:

Tune in Tuesday August 27th, 9pm EST on Food Network to see yours truly lose her goddamned mind on Chopped. Seriously, I just lose my shit.

But I had fun and was just happy to be there!

After the show airs, come back to Dinner is Served 1972 to read what happened behind the scenes.
