Since Countess LuAnn did not go to jail for violating terms of her parole, my mum and I saw her #countessandfriends cabaret show at the  Warner Theater in DC on June 7.

Because it was a sparkling wine-soaked event, I am sharing with you the dessert from my Easter dinner–the Coupe Jacques–which is a fruit cup with sherbet and champagne.

From the 1965 Chamberlain Calendar of French Menus

That reminds me–does anyone else remember Jacques? LuAnn’s boyfriend from the Real Housewives of New York City?

He was French and kind of looked like a Balki Bartokomous and Ross Geller hybrid.

Seriously. Check it.

Am I right? Or am I right?

Anyway, I know you want to know how The Countess was in concert.

She was wonderfully mediocre. She sang her hits, played the bongos (not lying) and looked flat-out fabulous. There were her “friends” but who cares about that?

The audience was 99% gay men and white suburban women–many of whom were sporting sequins–but the shiniest of sequins belonged to The Countess, resplendent in Jovani.

We loved every second of it.

In honor of Lu’s sobriety, it was our duty to drink as much as we could during the show. This led to my mum and I each ordering a double-Prosecco, which I believed equated a bottle each.

And classy. In plastic cups.

We immortalized the evening on Instagram.

The next morning, I picked up my phone and saw this:

OH. EM. GEE. It got liked by The Countess!

To whatever intern or assistant is running Lu’s social media accounts–thank you. You have made my day.

This dessert also made my day.

This was light and bubbly and sweet and downright delightful. A perfect spring or summer dessert. 100% would make again.

Here is Lu’s latest single (featuring appearances by Cynthia Bailey and Lisa Rinna):

It’s actually catchy. And oh-so 90s. Yinzerella approves. She’s looking like Catherine Zeta-Jones at times, but I don’t like the long extensions.

Also, will I ever have a reason to wear a Jovani gown? Man, Jovani really got the free advertising, right? I hope that Dorinda is getting some sort of kickback.

P.S. Do ya think that Rinna is wearing Depends under her Jovani?
