Us at Dinner is Served (and by ‘us’ I mean Brian and me) want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. And really there is no better way to do so than this little gem of a video, the Thanksgiving episode of The Liberace Show (1954).
For no other reason, you want to watch it just because good ol’ Lee serenades a turkey.
A live turkey.
And then the turkey dances.
A real, live turkey dances!
Seriously, I shit you not.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!
I would love to have a copy of his house blessing he gave during Liberace’s Thanksgiving show 1954. I remember it as a child, and would love to read it again.
Good’eavens, that was an experience! From the curtains opening behind him at the beginning and onward. I’m not sure what to think of the turkey being stationed right next to an ax.
Everything’s better with Liberace…and dancing turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for a year of culinary madness.
Having worked with animals in TV before, I am pretty sure someone is pushing that turkey’s bottom from side to side to make it look like it is grooving to Liberace.
This is utter genius – Happy Thanksgiving – Jenny in London x
Don’t ruin this for me!
That Turkey is dancing, goddamnit!
