I had to laugh when the article talked about kids moving to Philly for school and not realizing that not everyone spoke the same way they do in Pittsburgh. I had the same experience when I discovered that I was the only one in my dorm speaking “Valspeak.” Twelve years of living in NJ knocked most of it out of me but The Mister said he could always tell when I had been talking to one of my sisters because I’d slip into my native language, as I call it, for several days.
Loved it!
