National Noodle Day!

Foodimentary informs me that today is National Noodle Day!

In honor of the occasion, let’s take a quick trip back into the past and see some of the best and worst dinners where I used my noodle.

Click on the pictures to take you back in tiiiiiime.

From the BH&G Cooking for Two cookbook. I did cook for two (anyone remember Mr. Buckeye?). And this one included a Jell-O mold!

A dating story from 2013 and a reason to ALWAYS buy real vanilla extract. Believe me.

A Pittsburgh classic.

Behold! Cock-a-Doodle-Doo noodle casserole!

Sadly, I made the Spaghetti with Chicken and not the Spaghetti Cheese Loaf.

This card is from almost exactly 5 years ago!

OK, so now go and see how all of these culinary adventures turned out.

Want to know everything about noodles? Like, everything? There ya go!

Fun fact: I used to live in a property called the Noodle Factory because it was, indeed, once a noodle factory.

  1. I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon wondering what you did in the drug store to turn that Dutch dood on.

By the way, I have a BOX OF STUFF to send you sitting on my desk at work, so let me know your address yet again and this time I PROMISE it is going in the post.

I found somewhere in the UK where I can get me a box of Old Bay – whoop!

I want to live in a noodle factory xx

      Yes, you found Old Bay!!!
I have a ton of recipe cards to send you–I have the envelope and everything. I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to get it in the damn mail!!!
The noodle factory was a great space, but I was living with a boyfriend during a not-so-good phase, so it wasn’t as cool as it should have been 🙁

      • There may also be some recipe cards coming your way from this end… Just saying! I’ll email you for an address. You will laugh when you see how long it has taken me to get this shit in the post… We share a kind of mail-block, like writers-block…

  2. Conor Bofin says:

Fantastic. I was listening to Elvis this morning. This is karma. Now time to have some noodles.
